The Papatoetoe Cycle Club held two time trials over the Papakura course, a junior championship over 15 miles, and a senior sealed handicap over the same distance. The championship resulted : — D. Knight, time 41.18, 1 ; N. Gamble, 42.36, 2 ; J. Middleton, 42.49, 3. A scaled handicap was run in conjunction, resulting:— M. Noonan (3.0), time 43.9, 1; P. Knight (G.O), 46.12, 2; D. Arvidson (3.0), 43.48, 3. In the senior event C. Cochrane collected the double, place and fastest time. Results were : — C. Cochrane (scr), 39.43, 1; R. Beehre (1.0), 41.16, 2; W. O'Sbaughnessy (2.0), 41.39, 3. BEACH HAVEN AMATEURS. The Beach Haven Club held two races on Saturday. Strong west winds made cycling difficult, but times were quite fair. The junior seven-mile race resulted:— E. Collins (scr), 22.16, 1; R. Chetwynd (1.5), 23.22, 2; M. Harkins (255), 25.15, 3. Collins secured fastest time. The senior 20-mile was over the Birkdale circuit. A good final resulted a* follows— R. Elia (2.5), 60.20, 1; L. Cooper (6.15), 64.31, 2; I. Culpan (255), 60.21, 3. D. Pappen (scr) was fourth and also fastest time, 60.1®

TAKAPUNA CLUB.

A race was hold on Saturday over a 22|mile course for the Yl llson Cup. ' D. Bowsie (2.30), 70.36, 1: G. WHliams (scr), 68.6 l-o, 2; D. Keatings (scr), The winner lost his chain in the fifth lap, and, putting it on again, came up to win by inches only after a great finish.
