FUTURE GAMES.

HOLLER MILLS SHIELD. PROPOSED GROUPS. Suggestions for future Roller Mills Shield tournaments for primary school teams were discussed at a meeting of team , managers at Paeroa_ Mr. A. J. R. Wlielan, of Lower Waikato, drawing attention to the fact that the Auckland city teams usually reached the finals, suggested that Auckland City bu divided into four groups, instead of three, iu order to even up the competition. The citv teams were always well-balanced combinations, and if another team was required the country centres might have a better chance. Supporting this, the North Auckland representative - mentioned the difficulties _ot .assembling a team in his district. >ot more than three of his ter.»n had ever played 15-a-side before, so«.it was next to impossible to put a team in the field which would beat an Auckland city team in the early stages of the tournament. * The question of placing the Auckland city teams iu one section, instead of one in each of the three sections, was suggested by Mr. U..C. Matliesou, of Hamilton, but it was agreed that the purpose of the tournament | was to educate the players, and the inclusion of an Auckland team in each section assisted in that direction. Mr. J. G. Gasparich, Auckland East, said that Auckland would not be weakened by having to enter four teams. The suggestion was adopted. An invitation to hold the competition in the North Auckland district was received, and was referred to the Auckland 1 rinniry Schools' Rugby Union for consideration. As a means of lessening the difficulties ot transport, it was suggested that a special train from Rotorua should pick up all the players, thus obviating the necessity tor a night to be spent in Auckland.
