Mr. J. A. C. Allum left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. A. S. Richards, M.P., was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last night. ) Mr. C. R. Petrie, M.P., will be a passenger for Wellington on the Limited express to-night. The Hon. Sir Francis Frazer, chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture, will be a passenger from Wellington by the Limited this evening. Rear-Admiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond, commanding officer, New Zealand Division, Royal Navy, will leave for Wellington by the Limited express tonight. Mr. James Payne, assistant Australian Trade Commissioner, will leave by the Niagara to-morrow for a visit to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. He expects to be absent from New Zealand for about six weeks. The Rev. A. Russell Allerton, vicar of St. Thomas', Freeman's Bay, who is on a visit to England, will leave Liverpool on his return, to New Zealand on September 4. He is due in Auckland at the end of October. e Mr. C. P. Earle, Registrar of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries, and Mr. W. M. Barton, executive vice-president, left for Dunedin last evening to attend the fifth annual conference of the institute,'which opens on Wednesday. Sir Charles Statliam, formerly Speaker of the House of Representatives, will retain the title "Honourable," the King's approval having been conveyed through the Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald. Mr. Tau Henare, M.P., has been elected chairman, and Mr. L. Parore secretary, of the North Auckland Rugby Union. Mr. Henare will represent the Maori race on the Auckland Rugby Union, and will also be manager of the. Tokerau team, which will play East Coast natives for the King's Cup at Ruatoria on September 12.
