KING'S PLAY WINS CHIEF EVENT.
MOUNT EDEN TO KING COUNTRY.
The August meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club is being held at Alexandra Park this afternoon. After rain overnight and this morning the weather cleared at noon. There is a rair attendance, but the track is on the heavy side.
The August Handicap, the chief event of the day, was won by the favourite, King's Play, while the Grey Lynn Handicap went' to Replica.

iful in the Mount Eden Handicap, :roductory Handicap.
