ALBERTA PROPOSAL.

Social Credit Policy Taking Shape. NEW BILL INTRODUCED. (Received 11 a.m.) EDMONTON, August 28. A measure, comprising 5000 words, described as "an Act to provide the people of Alberta with additional credit," has been introduced. It provides for establishment of a State Credit House and validating the Order-in-Council of July 29 regarding registration of citizens for basic dividends.

No definite amount of credit to be paid in dividends is mentioned, but it is indicated that citizens will be classified and different amounts paid. The bill states that Alberta credit means the facilities provided by the Credit House for aiding exchange of goods and services within the province.

A levy on unearned increment is ono of the three main features of Social Credit which may be made under the Act.
