PREMIER'S COMPROMISE.
ACCUSED OF NAZI SYMPATHIES. .. BUCHAREST. Premier George Tatarescu, accused by enemies of pro-Nazi leanings, sought to retain ollico by ail' agreement on Nazi and . Jewish pblicibs.
He endeavoured to effect a compromise despite attacks by Nicholas Titulescu, veteran Foreign Minister and power in the Little Entente (Rumania, Yugoslavia and Czccho-Slovakia), who asserted he was being embarrassed in negotiations with Franco and Great Britain by circumstances at homo. Specifically, lie referred to recent anti-Jewish demonstrations in Rumania and the Premier's alleged attitude toward the 'Nazis. Ho accused Tatarescu- of tolei'ating, if not openly supporting, Nazi inlluences.
In political quarters, it was suggested that if Titulescu had his way, Alexander Avcrescu, former Premier, might become Tatarescu's successor.
