DR. W. P. GOARD'S LECTURE,
BRITISH ISRAEL TRUTHS
Principles of British Israelism were dealt with by Dr. William Pascoe Goard, who, after a-tpur of the Dominion, lectured to a large audience in the Town Hall on "The British Empire in the Light of the Bible." The lecturer Was described as the world's greatest exponent of British Israel truth.-. The lecture was under the auspices off' the. Auckland branch of the Britisli Israel; .World Federation {New' Zealand).'
The 38th and 39th- chapters of Ezekiel were the basis of Dr: Goard's remarks. He identified the names of Gog and Magog with the A'ast population of European and Asiatic Russians, Mesech being the ancient name of Moscow', and Tubal, the ancient name of Tobolsk, the one the capital of European Russia and the other' the capital of Asiatic Russia. The avowed policy ,of Russia since the days of Peter the Great had been to obtain a seaboard in more congenial . climes tjje Arctip v coastline and to obtain/ascendancy in the Euphratean Valley and'the Persian Gulf:
Dr. Goard'-identified Corner with the Germanic peoples; /whose pWiijv *tvss the 1 hegemony of Central; Europe, and an extension of tlieir-power eastward similar to that of Russia.
