CREDITMEN'S CLUB.

SUCCESSFUL ACTIVITIES. NEW OFFICERS ELECTED. Seven years of successful activity were reviewed in the secretary's report which was presented to the annual meeting of the Auckland Creditmen's Club, which took the form of a luncheon at Milne and Chovce's reception hall this afternoon.

The present sound position of the club and its successful activities during its existence were undoubted indications of the club's definite service to the commercial community, said the secretary, Mr. H. W. Dent. With the help of members, the club had reached its present satisfactory position and reputation. The club's membership was l4">, an increase of 23 on the previous year. The club's finances were in a healthy state.

Members of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries were elected honor arv members of the club.

An. address on "Making History" was given by the new president, Mr. Ernest Aldridge. He dealt at length with history that had been made in New Zealand and international politics during the. seven years of the club's existence. He hoped that club members would play their part in the making of history in the coming year.

Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. E. Aldridge; past president, Mr. T. U. Wells; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. G. Baskctt, G. K. Brookes, C. F. Garnitt and A. G. Wilson; lion, secretary, Mr. Hugh W. Dent; lion, treasurer, Mr. D. S. Cox; lion, solicitor, Mr. C. J. Tunks; lion, auditor, Mr. James Thomson; musical director, Mr. F. M. Hills; executive committee, Messrs. E. Aldridge, G. li. Brookes, C'has. Emery, C. J. Lovegrove, H. G. Robinson and K. W. Schmidt; nienibership committee, Mr. R. S. Abel (chairman); reception commit-tee,-Mr. J. E. Beachen (elia.irman); programme committee, Mr. W. H. Fortune (chairman); institute, library and journal committee, Mr. G. E. Waddingham (chairman).
