THE KAKAPO'S END.—The well-known Union Company's steamer Kakapo, which has been at anchor in Auckland Harbour for the past seven years and used as a hulk for the storage of coal and oil, was towed to the Western Viaduct this morning. She has been bought for breaking-up purposes by Mr. F. Appleton, of Newmarket. After the vessel is stripped it is probable tiiat the hull will be towed away and finally used as a breakwater.
