THEFTS ON AORANGI.
SUMS OF MONEY MISSING. During the voyage of the liner Aorangi from Sydney to Auckland three cases of theft occurred. The ship's plumber left £17 in single no*v? and four one dollar bills in aiwallet in his cabin, and these disappeared, while a member of the Australian Kugby team found that £12 in Australian notes were missing from a coat left hanging in the wardrobe of his cabin. Three £1 notes and a 10/ 7iote also vanished from the cabin of the ship's wireless operator.
The Auckland police were communicated with by radio, rnd 011 the arrival of the Aorangi yesterday Detective W. Maliood went on board and made inquiries, as the result of which, it is stated, a boy aged 15, who was employed on the liner, vill be dealt with in the Children's Court.
