DISCOVERY FOR AUSTRALIA? (Received 10 a.m.) ADELAIDE, this day. Sir Douglas Mawson, having learned that the Polar exploration ship, Discovery, is for sale in London, expressed the hope that the vessel would be bought by Australia and kept here to enable scientists to keep in touch with the Antarctic. He said Discovery was the staunchest ship of her class ever built and was unrivalled for negotiating packice. She was good for 50 more years of active service.
