COMBINED BANKS.

ANNUAL BALL.

AN ENJOYABLE FUNCTION,

The staffs of the Auckland Combined Banks held their annual ball at the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening and it must have been very gratifying to the organisers, for tho particularly large attendance ensured the success of this enjoyable function. Baskets of delicate ferns wore suspended from the ceiling, where there were also small pennants in' red and blue with silver and gold lettering, while the central pillars were swathed in golden sunflowers. Vases of early spring flowers and groups of high palms at the corners of the hall added to the dainty decorative scheme. The supper tables looked colourful with high crystal vases of irises and daffodils, and also contributing a gay touch were the many baskets of golden-liued fruit. Mrs. M. Bennett and the Misses M.
