TUSCAN STAR FOR LONDON.

marama arrived. AORANGI FOR SYDNEY, 11 P.M. The Blue Star Line motor ship Tuscan , Star, 11,449 tons, with Captain G. Lewie in commancT, will sail for London this afternoon. She goes via Cape Horn and Str Vincent, and is due at London on September 10. In addition to a full cargo of frozen and general produce, she is taking four passengers. The Union Company's intercolonial liner Marama arrived from Sydney shortly before nine o'clock this morning and berthed at the Queen's wharf. She brought 130 passengers for Auckland and goes 011 to Wellington at 3 p.m. to-morrow, en route to Sydney. The Canadian Australasian Royal Mail liner Aorangi, which arrived shortly after noon yesterday from Vancouver, will ieave at 11 o'clock to-night for Sydney. * Golden Coast (5705 tons) arrived from Pacific Coast ports early this afternoon and is discharging at Prince's wharf. She leaves to-morrow afternoon for Wei-

lington. (H. and M.) Surrey left for Wellington last night to complete her discharge of cargo from Liverpool. (N.Z.S. Co.) Rangitata is to leave Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. to-day for Auckland. She is due first thing on Friday morning and will berth at Queen's wharf to discharge and commence loading \or London. (N.Z.S. Co.) City of Dieppe (7863 tons), which left New York on July 6, advises that she expects to arrive here on Thursday afternoon. (N.Z.S. Co.) Lindenbank, which arrived from Galveston, Texas, 011 Sunday evening, is discharging at the King's wharf and will leave for New Plymouth on Thursday evening. (A.S.P.) Wanganella arrives at Sydney from Wellington to-morrow morning. She leaves Sydney next Monday on her return to Auckland, arriving on Friday, the 14th. (H.-P.)

Mariposa arrived at Suva at eight o'clock this morning from San Francisco, via Los Angeles, Honolulu and Dagopago. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa, en route from Auckland to London, reached Kingston, Jamaica, on Saturday. The Port Line motor ship Port Huon, which left Wellington for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe, on June 26, is reported to have reached London on Sunday. • I WAIWERA AT LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Line motor ship Wuiwera, which left Auckland for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, via Cape Horn and Lns Palmas, on July 1, is reported to have reached London on Saturday. j LAUNCHINGS OX TIIE CLYDE. Clyde firms launched during May a total of eleven vessels aggregating 21,246 tons, and tlio output for the lirst live months of this year is 3S vessels, aggregating 97,017 tons, compared witli 28 vessels of 60,000 tons in the same period of 1933. QUEEN MARY SOUVENIRS. Despite elaborate precautions taken by officials and private police, souvenir hunters wrought havoc on board the Queen Mary when she was at New York on her maiden voyage. According to the "New York Herald-Tribune," some 25,000 visitors boarded the vessel in dock. Their filcliings included spoons, forks, potted plants, clocks, silver calendars, ashtrays and pieces of china. Many objects were detached with wrenches and screw drivers. NOTICE TO MARINERS. The Auckland Harbour Board advises that the dredger Hapai is now engaged in dredging operations approximately 000 feet to the northward of the north-east corner of the Central wliarf and has six moorings laid out iu north, south, cast and west directions. The dredger is moored in a north and south direction v.-itli n hopper barge on each side, and will lie working to the southward. During the day time a globular shape, and at night time, in addition to the regulation riding lights, a red light is exhibited onthe side on which vessels are to pass. PORT OF ONEHUNGA.
