SARAZEN'S TOUR.
AUCKLAND EXHIBITION". The New Zealand tour of Gene Sarazen and Miss Helen Hicks will commence at Auckland next Friday, when the noted American visitors will play an exhibition match at One Tree Hill. They have been matched with A. Murray, the open and professional champion, and T. Galloway, the Maungakie'kie professional. The visitors will arrive from Honolulu by the Mariposa on Friday morning and the game will commence at 1.45 p.m. Afterwards Sarazen and Miss Hicks will give a lecture and a demonstration of shots. A through passenger on the Mariposa is J. Ferrier, the Australian amateur, who is returning home after his trip to England. Ferrier, after beint? runner-up to Hector Thomson in the British amateur championship, played in the British open, as did Sarazen. CLEVEDON LADIES' CLUB. Members of the Clevedon Ladies' Golf Club will play a medal round for the button and star tomorrow, in conjunction with an L.G.U. medal match and the first qualifying round for the rose bowl, postponed from last Wednesday. Last week's draw will stand. MT. MAUNGANTJI V. TE PUKE. In a golf match at Te Puke during the week-end Mount Maunganui beat Te Tuke l>y 23 games to 3. MAUNGAKIEKIE LADIES' CLUB. An L.G.U. medal handicap match is to be playerl by members of the Maungaktskie Ladies' Golf Club to-morrow, commencing at 10 a.m. and at four-minute intervals.
