TRANSPORT BOARD.
A LABOUR NOMINEE. Mr. W. J. Oatenliv, a member of the Mount Eden Borough Council, lias been selected by unanimous vote of the Eden branch of the - •Labour party for consideration by the Auckland Labour Representation Committee as a candidate for the vacant seat on the Transport Board occasioned bv the appointment to the magistracy of Mr. R. E. Eerner. So far as is known, no other names have as yet been submitted to the Labour Representation Committee. .Nominations close with the committee on August 13.
