SEAMAN ON A SPREE
TIME-TABLE CASE BROKEN,

WHANG AREI, Wednesday
"One of his companions kicked over a newspaper poster on the corner of Bank and Cameron Streets, but accused went one better and made a flying leap at the railway time-table ease, trying to wrench it from the post, and snapping the glass in the process," said Sergeant .T. • Culloty at the Whangarci Police Court this morning, when John William Webb pleaded guilty to wilfully damaging the case, valued at 3/. Sergeant Culloty said that accused was a seaman who had arrived by a scow the previous afternoon, and had pone on a drinking expedition with two companions. Webb was fined 10/ and ordered to make restitution.
