BIRKDALE DRAMATIC CLUB
•e . i, J. B. Priestley's comedy, "Laburnum Grove" was performed by members of the L '- Birkdale Dramatic Club at the Birkdale Hall on Saturday evening before a good D audience. The leading character, George " Bad fern, was played by Mr. S. Town, and „ the 'part of Bernard Baxley was rendered • by Mr. F. Walker. Miss Olive Jewell t took the part of the cynical Mrs. Baxley is and Miss Audrey Boyle made a good showi- ing a s Elsie Badfern. Other players were •• Mr W. Hubball. Mr. B. Wallace, Miss Dorothy Adkins and Mr. Payne. The producer was Mr. W. S. Garrett.
