OTAGO REGIMENT.
REUNION IN AUCKLAND,
Arrangements are in hand for holding in Auckland on the anniversary of the capture of Bapaume, August 25, a reunion ° f „ members of the Otago Regiment, J\ .Z.L.I 1 ., resident in the province. In addition to Otago men who were living in ! the south when war broke out, and who i enlisted in the southern regiment, but I who are now in Auckland, a great many men from Auckland were posted to the legiment because, owing to the comparative smallness of its population as against that of the north, Otago was not always able to supply the quota of men for each | reinforcement. It is expected there will be up to 200 men - from all parts of Auckland at the reunion. The provisional committee in charge of the arrangements comprises Messrs. A. J. Whyte (chairman). R Phillips (secretary), D. M. Rae, J. Hines, D. Glanfield, R. Quinn and J. L. Scoullar The reunion will be the first of the regi-' ment to be held in Auckland. I
