CHURCH MEETINGS.
PRESBYTERIAN PROGRESS. The report presented at the combined annual meeting of the Grey Lynn and Richmond Presbyterian churches, held during the week, states that fresh activities in the shape of boys' and girls' brigades were started during the year. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance 011 the year's working, and an extra £10 was raised for allocation to the mission funds. It was stated that the combined charges membership num- j bers 203. j There was a large attendance at the 38th annual meeting of the Knox Presbyterian Church, Parnell, 011 Wednesday night. The minister, the Rev. G. A. D. I Spence, presided. j Reports from the various organisations connected with the church revealed that encouraging progress had been made in practically every department during the past year. The financial statement showed an increase in contributions to missions, while the general account for the past vear closed with a credit balance of £4. The announcement that a handsome j oak communion table had been donated j to the church by Mrs. CoHipston in 1 memory of her mother, the late Mrs. A. ] Davidson, was made by the sessjon clerk,! Mr. A. Murray Bell. Gifts of a minis- j ter's chair, by an anonymous donor, and an elder's chair, by Mr. J. R. Bullen, were also announced. The membership now stands at 130. The following members were elected to the committee 01 management:— Mrs. A. Sullivan, Miss I. Scarborough, Miss M. Jordan, Dr. L. H. Briggs, Messrs. G. Campbell, E. Croy, A. G. Harris, J. B. Patterson, J. McCallum, C. Smith, J. Sullivan and W. A. Tullock. I V
