SEVERAL HORSES SPRINT. (By Telegraph:—Special to "Star.") TE AWAMUTU, this day. The flags were out about 10ft on the course proper, which was open for fast work this morning, and the going was heavy. Gallio was sent three furlongs, which took him 425. Quadroon came home over half a mile in 55 l-ss. Two furlongs in 29s saw Cylarros easing up. Delrain occupied 59s for his half-mile, and Illuminagh 58s for a similar The only other halfmile of the morning was that of Cheval de Yolee, who. completed his task in 58 2-ss. British Nation had a substantial advantage over Prince Rangi at the end of two furlongs in 28 2-ss, Privy Seal taking 30s for a like task. Lady Meath and the Captain Buneby— Prophet's Mark filly were together at the end of two furlongs in 26 l-se.
