SILASSIE'S GOLD BARS.
£1,500,000 SAY ITALIANS. .... .GENEVA. The chests of gold which former Emperor Haile Silassie of" Ethiopia has taken with him on his travels contain the gold reserves of the Bank of Ethiopia, according to an Italian source. The amount is about £1,500,000 in gold bars, this source said. It was stated that the Italians, on entering Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, found only a few silver coins left" 'in'"the Bank of Ethiopia.
