WAITAKERE SCENIC ROUTE.—-Provided that the interested local bodies are prepared to find £11,000, the Government is prepared to contribute £52,000 towards the total cost of £63,000 to provide a scenic road on the crest of the Waitakere Ranges, which, when linked with existing roads and highways, will make the distance from New Lynn and back to New Lynn, via the new route, twenty-six miles.
