MINING NEWS.
TRONOH COMPANY'S PROFIT. Tronoh Mines, Limited, London, which Is interested in Malay tin mining and is associated with Wailii luvestments in Puket Tin Dredging, showed a profit in 1935 of £67,950, and dividends totalling 22i per cent were paid, against £40,720 earned in 1934, when 12J per cent jvas distributed. During 1936 to date, distributions have totalled 171 per cent. Recently Tronoh Mines had an option over the Nokomai gold property in Otago. OKARITO DREDGE. During last week the Okarito dredge (South Westland) worked to a depth of 30ft below the water level for testing purposes, but, as values do not exist below the 21ft level, deep dredging lias been discontinued. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Central Sliotover (Otago).—A tribute party working under lease reports a return of H2oz for four weeks. Last month's washup was 140oz. BULOLO PRODUCTION. Production of the four dredges of Rulolo Gold Dredging, Limited (New Guinea), fos June in as follows, with figures for May in parentheses:—Gross production of buinon, 15.652 (15.515) ounces, containing 11,005 (11,196) ounce of fine gold, from 1.002.000 (1,031,500) cubic yards. The production is equivalent to £96 SIS an <l working profit to £60',350 (£(>(>.(97) on the basis of £S 15/ a fine ounce of gold. MINE MANAGER'S REPORT. Talisman Dubbo.—44 tons ore were treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of f2SS.
