JEWEL ROBBERY SEQUEL.
ARREST MADE IN SYDNEY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday.
Arrested in Sydney and subsequently charged with breaking and entering the premises of Lawrence Hedges, jeweller, in New Plymouth, 011 May 28, and stealing jewellery valued at £333, William Ernest Hewins was brought from Sydney under escort by Detective P. Kearney, and reached New Plymouth last night.
Accused appeared before Mr. W. H. Woodwa-rd, S.M., in the Police Court to-day and on the application of Detective Kearney a remand was granted until Wednesday next. No application was made for bail.
