WEATHER FORECAST.
TOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued . to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following- special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to' as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate south-westerly winds, tending more southerly. Weather for the most part fair and improving, but a few ; isolated passing showers are still probable. Temperatures cold. Seas slight to moderate. Pressure is still rather low east of the North Island, and in the Cook Strait area, but an anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and barometers are rising generally over the Dominion. For the Dominion. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate southerlies. Mainly, there is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, but a few isolated showers. The barometer has a rising tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, south-west, light; sea. smooth; weather, cloudy, but fine; visibility', good; barometer, steady. *'
