ITALIANS BESIEGED?
Severe Fighting Reported From Abyssinia. TROOPS CONFINED TO TOWNS. (Received 10 a.m.) CAIRO, July 22. The Egyptian Consul at Addis Ababa has telegraphed his Government that severe fighting at Addis Ababa resulted in heavy losses to both sides. The Italian garrisons at Harrar and Jijiga are virtually confined to these towns while Abyssinians rove the neighbouring country unchecked.
