ONE TREE HILL.
The One Tree Hill Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. I. J. Goldstine, presiding. Building Permits. —It was reported that since June 25 five permits had been issued, three for dwellings valued at £2103, a motor assembly factory, £4875, and one alteration, £135, making a total of £7203. During the year 73 permits had been granted, of a total value of £56,701, compared with 52, valued at £30,163, for the same period last year. The 40-hour Week—The town clerk reported that the 40-hour week would affect the whole outside permanent staff. Tho matter was deferred until the next meeting.
