Sir George Wilson left for the South yesterday.
Mr. G. Claridge, of Wellington, left by the Limited express last night.
Mr. R. Lawson, of Oliakune, lias been appointed stationmaster at Mamaku.
Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P. for Stratford, left for Wellington by train last night.
Mr. W. J. Dodd, stationmaster of Mamaku, has been transferred to Te Aroha in charge.
The Hon. J. Trevetliick, M.L.C., arrived by the Limited express this morning from Wellington. Mr. J. Xorris, chief librarian to the Wellington City Council, left for the South by the Limited express last night. Mr. James Fletcher, of the Fletcher Construction Company, Ltd., arrived this morning' from Wellington by the Limited express. Mr. W. R. McLean, stationmaster at Te Aroha, has been promoted to the charge of Stillwater station, 011 the West Coast. Mr. Lot Cooper, who for the past 12 years has been chief clerk of the Public Works Department, Auckland, has been transferred to Wellington as accommodation officer.
Mr. A. W. de Berry, of Christchurch, a graduate 111 dental surgery of the University of Otago, has been awarded the North-Western University Dental School Scholarship, and will leave 011 August 4 for the United States to take up the scholarship at Chicago.
