BOXING.
CAREY KNOCKS OUT MORRIGHAN. (By Telegraph,—Press Association.) CHRISTCIIURCII, Tuesday. In a scheduled ten-round professional welter-weight boxing contest to-night XV. Carey (10.5). of Canterbury, knocked out H. Morrighan (10.7), of Marlborough, in the tenth round. Carey was the more aggressive fighter anil was ahead on points when he felled Morrighan with si right hook to tile solar plexus. Tile crowd protested noisily, evidently being under the impression that the blow was low.
