LOCAL BODIES' PB.OJECT,

The block scheme of insurance for local authorities, which was tlie subject of a remit passed in June last at the Municipal Association's conference, was before the Mount Albert Borough Council last evening when a letter was read from the secretary of the association asking if the council was willing to participate in such a system. Certain information in addition was also asked for. The town e'erk was instructed to supply the information requested and advise that the council would participate in such a scheme provided that a majority of the local bodies in the Dominion were prepared to participate.
