She will be absent from the Dominion for twelve months, during which time she will visit America, Great Britain and Continental countries. • • • • Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Simpson, of Manila, Philippine Islands, arrived in Auckland by the Niagara on Monday and went on to Te Awamutu the same evening. They are the guests of their relatives, Mr. and Miss Empson, "Meadowbank," and plan to spend an extended holiday - in the Dominion. Mr. and Mrs. Simpson j were here about a year ago. Mr. Simp- - son, who holds an important commercial j position in Manila, is a New Zealander, , who until last year had been absent

from his home country for over a quarter of a century.
