CAR AND TRUCK COLLIDE.
BOTH VEHICLES DAMAGED. When two vehicles collided at the intersection of the Pukekohe road and Great South Road, at Bombay, late yesterday afternoon, a break-down truck was wrecked and a new sedan motor car was extensively damaged. Both drivers escaped injury and there were no passengers in either vehicle. The motor car was driven by Mr. Percy Aldred, of Epsom, and the wrecking truck was driven by Mr. L. The crane on the truck was bent level with the bodywork and the cab was shattered. Mr. Middlemiss received some protection from a cushion and was able to climb out through the broken doorway unhurt.
The lamps aiul mudguards of the car were badly damaged and the radiator was pushed back almost as far as the windscreen. Both vehicles had to be towed awav.
