WEATHER FORECAST
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Strong south-west to southerly winds, reaching gale force in places, but decreasing gradually. Weather cold and changeable, with passing showers, but improving; Seas rough on West coast, rather rough to rough on east coast, moderating to-morrow. A rather intense anti-cyclone covers the North Tasman Sea and extends on to Southern New Zealand. Pressure is still rather low east of the North Island, but is now rising generally over the Dominion. For the Dominion. For 2-1 hours from 0 a.m. this day the indications are for moderate to strong southerlies, gradually decreasing; weather probably cokl and changeable, with passing showers, later improving; barometer rising; seas rather rough to rough. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:—Wind, south-west, fresh; sea, rough; weather, squally, with passing showers; visibility, fair; barometer, steadv. .
