BELGIUM'S DAY.
The national day of Belgium, celebrating the independence of that kingdom, was observed in Auckland to-day, when members of the Auckland Consular Corps paid an official call on the Consul for Belgium, Mr. A. M. Ferguson. The Belgian flag was flown at the consulate. National day is a public holiday throughout Belgium, and is celebrated by fetes.
