HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 18, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand: —
Tallow. —Spot market quiet, supplies short; quotations nominally unchanged.
Hemp—Manila: iViaiKet quiet. Value ' K." grade £21 to £21 5/, according to position. Sisal: Market steady, fair business done. Afloat sold early this week £26 10/, later up to £26 15/ for OctoberDecember shipment. New Zealand: Market quiet, sellers at unchanged prices, no first-hand sales reported. Fruit.—Slightly better tone in the market. Current prices are:—Apples: Dunn s Favourite and Newtown Pippin, 6/ to 7/; Delicious, 6/ to 8/; Stunner, 6/6 to 8/6; Statesman, 7/ to 9/; Rokewood, 9/ to 10/; Dougherty, 9/ to 11/; Granny I Smith. 9/ to 13/. Pears: Winter Nelis, •0/ lo 11/. ,
