BOWLING.

RAILWAY ASSOCIATION,

At the annual meeting of the Auckland District Railway Bowling Association, held at Newmarket, Mr. A. M. Hamond presiding over a large attendance, the report and balance-sheet showed that the- past season had been a successful one. Four tournaments were held, and met with excellent patronage from members. Appreciation was expressed of the action of the clubs which had lent their greens during the season.

Negotiations will shortly be finalised for the laying down of a green for the use of members.

Officers elected :—Patron, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. Minister of Railways; president, Mr. A. M. Hamond ; vice-president, Mr. R. Moore; secretary, Mr. N. McGaffan; treasurer, Mr. G. Porrit; auditor, Mr. C. E. Barnes ; management committee, Messrs. W. Cliffe. W. Harris, D. McVinnie, S. Woodlock, D. Hailwood, C. E. Barnes, R. Smith, E. Sharp, A. Stead, G. Gordon, H. Head, M. McCrossan.
