TG-DAY Ift CHRISTCHURCH. STAPLES' INTERIM DIVIDEND. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Stock Exchange recorded a. good list of sales, but yesterday's check in several values was accentuated, and prices moved mainly in buyers' favour. Bank of New Zealand shares remained weak at £2, with further, buyers at that figure, sellers a penny higher. Commercials held yesterday's level. Unions of Australia improved with buying oilers of £9 8/0, sellers £9 15/. Breweries v.-ere firm. Staples' (cum 3 per cent interim dividend) were wanted at £1 14/3, with no sellers. New Zealands had a market between buyers £2 14/3 and sellers £2 14/(i. Gas quotations eased to sellers at £1 !)/, nearest buyer £1 7/(i. Zinc preferences dropped 3d. but closed fairly firm. . Dttnlops improved a fraction. Coles declined 3d, to sale and sellers at £3 19/3. Glass and Broken Hill eased a little from yesterday afternoon's rates. Moits Dock had buyers at J2/8, compared with yesterday's erratic business up to 13/ G. Sellers to-day asked I*2/9. Wining was in good request. Nemonas and Gillespie's moved up 2d.
