CITY COUNCIL EMPLOYEES.

SALARIES AND GRABINGS.

A salaries and grading list for City Council employees for 193G-1937 was presented to the council at its meeting last night by the finance committee. The reinstatement of the operation of the grading scheme as previously carried out by the council was decided upon. "We are of the opinion that when employees reach the top of their respective grades, their cases should be considered by a tribunal which should be set up each year by the finance committee for this purpose, and that the chairman of the committee and the head of the department concerned should be present when the question of regrading those officers is considered," the report added. It was decided that Mr. A. J. Dickson, 8.E.. A31.1.C;E., should be .designated assistant city engineer.
