SHORTER WEEK.

GARAGE WORKERS' HOURS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. It was announced in the Arbitration Court to-day that garage attendants should work a 44-hoar six-day week. The union's application for the- 40-liour week was consequently withdrawn. The employers' application for ail extension of the hours of motor mechanics to 44 weekly was heard and decision reserved.
