Mr. G. C. YV. Reid, of tlie Reid New Zealand Rubber Mills, Limited, left for Wellington by this afternoon's train. Sir. W. E. Anderson, secretary of the Employers' Association was a passenger for Wellington by this afternoon's train. Mr. C. A. Berendsen, permanent head of the Prime Minister's Department, and Mrs. Berendsen, left by the Niagara today. Mr. J. M. Elliffe, secretary of the Accountants and Auditors' Association of New Zealand arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited express. Mr. T. U. Wells was yesterday reelected president of the Auckland University College Council. Mr. H. J. D. Mahon was re-elected vice-president. The Hon. J. Trevethick, M.L.C., and Mr. F. W. Schramm, Mr. C. H. Burnett and Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, M.P.'s, left by the Limited express iast night for Wellington. Sir Standish O'Grady Roche, aide-de-camp to his Excellency the GovernorGeneral, was a passenger for Vancouver, en route to England, by the Niagara this afternoon. The Rev. A. T. Thompson, Commonwealth secretary for the British and Foreign Bible Society, who has been on a month's visit to New Zealand, left by the Niagara to-day for Suva. The Hon. B. Martin, M.L.C., tlio deputy-Mayor, was yesterday welcomed to a meeting of the Auckland University College Council, as the new representative uf the City Council. Dr. and Mrs. T. Tennent, of Wellington, Dr. and Mrs. J. Hardie Neil, of Auckland, and Dr. Frank Maeky, were passengers by the Niagara this afternoon. They are to attend the PanPacific Surgical Conference at Honolulu. The Rev. Dr. E. N. Merrington, Master of Knox College, left by the Niagara this afternoon to attend the Conference of the Institute of Pacific Relations, to be held at Yosemite National Park, U.S.A. He was accompanied by Mrs. Merrington.
