PENALTIES FOR CRIME.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUECH, Saturday. The following penalties for crime were imposed by Mr. Justice XorthSupreme Court on Friday: Walter Albert Spier, sentenced to two years reformative detention for breaking, entering and theft; Charles Haddock (51), sentenced to three years' hard labour for a serious offence against a boy; George O'Neill (32), sentenced to eighteen months' hard labour for committing an indecent act.
