BROKERS' CHARGES.

REDUCTION IN SCALE. A reduction has been made in the rates of brokerage charged on the lower-priced shares quoted on New * 'Zealand Stock Exchanges. The new rates are as follow: —■ ....... The old rates were as follows:—Shares up to 6d, %d per share; over 6d to 2/, Vsd; over 2/ to 4/, Id; over 4/ to 6/8, lted; over 6/8 to 13/4, 2d; over 13/4, IV* per cent. The rates of brokerage on "unlisted" mining shares are 50 per cent higher than the rates given in the preceding table. On all other "unlisted" shares the rates are 20 per cent higher. The higher charge on "unlisted" mining shares is intended to influence the drawing of prospectuses more in accordance with the listing requirements.
