Mr. A. E. Odlin arrived from Wellington by train this morning. Mr. C. H. Drysclale left for Wellington by the Limited express last night. Mr. E. W. Alison left last night for Wellington by the Limited express. Mr. W. D. Holgate was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited express last night. Mr. C. H. Burnett, M.P. for Tauranga, is on a visit to Auckland. He is at the Royal Hotel. Mr. D. J. Cummings, Commissioner of Police, left Auckland for the South by car yesterday. '•> Mr. John Hughes, of Gisborne, returned from Sydney to-day by the Niagara. He intends to remain in Auckland for several days. Sir Thomas Wilford arrived by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. He will, return to Wellington by the Limited this evening. Messrs. W. T. Anderton, A. S. Richards, W. J. Lyon, C. R. Petrie, W. P. Endean and J. G. Barclay, M.P.'s, left for Wellington by the Limited express last night. Mr. George Mills, Mayor of Birkenhead, left to-day for the North 011 business in connection with the circulation ~jf a petition to Parliament requesting the construction of the Auckland harbour bridge as a national undertaking. Mr. H. F. O'Leary, K.C., has been appointed by the New Zealand Law Society to the rules committee which is constituted under the Judicature Act. The society nominates three members, whose nominations must be approved by the Chief Justice.
