FOOTBALL DANCE.
TAKAPUNA RUGBY CLUB. A successful function was held in the • Takapuna Boating Club hall at Bayswater on Saturday evening, when the ' monthly dance organised by the social committee of the Takapuna Rugby Football Club -was held. ■ • -Bowls of wattle, and streamers in blue and gold, the club's colours, adorned the hall. During the evening Mrs. A. Seaman presented the club with a. mascot, and the president, Mr. E. E. Sutherland, presented the honorary secretary, Mr. Mason Foreman, who was married recently, with a standard lamp. A Monte Carlo was won by Mr. and Mrs. Mason Foreman. Members of the ladies' committee present were: Mrs. A. J. Jensen, who wore black Chantilly lace; Mrs. C. Cherney, floral georgette; and Miss Yarnton,! ice-blue georgette. Others present were: Mesdames A. Seaman, R. J- Foreman, J. Dickie,. Yarnton, N. White, Davis. T. McManners, J. Edwards, and Misses Grace Cambridge, E. Mackie, Margery Scholium M Marshall, L.
