A remarkable escape from serious injury was the good fortune of the occupants of two cars at .Otahuhu on Saturday afternoon. A ear driven by Mr. T. Pointon, of Mount Wellington, was travelling southward along Atkinson Avenue when it became.involved in a collision with another car, driven by Mr. Percy Smith, of Owhango. Mr. Pointon's car overturned, spun round, and then righted itself, to face the direction in which it had been travelling. Two of the occupants, Mr. and Mrs. Powell, of Mount Wellington, were slightly injured, and were taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. After treatment they were allowed to return home.
