NEW ZEALAND'S RELIEF. SPECIAL PRAYERS ON SUNDAY To-morrow the people of New Zealand will join with the rest of the civilised world in expressing their relief and offering their thanks for the sparing of the life of His Majesty the King. In Auckland it is likely- that special reference will be made and that special prayers will be olfered in every church. A special prayer of thanksgiving for the deliverance from harm and the preservation of the life of King Edward will be offered in St. Patrick's Cathedral at every celebration of Holy Mass. The same prayer will be said at all Masses throughout the diocese by direction of his Lordship, Bishop Liston. j, • • To-day his Grace Archbishop- Avei'ill expressed the desire that prayers of ■ thanksgiving should be oil'erfSd and special references should be made in the Anglican churches.
