DAMAGED SCOW OWHITI. TEMPORARY REPAIRS. The Auckland shingle scow' Owhiti, which etruck a rock off Goat Island, near Leigh, on Thursday, was temporarily repaired yesterday and late in the afternoon was hauled off the beacli and towed to Leigh by a large fishing launch. A further examination of the vessel will be made at Leigh, and if the vessel is not making water she will be brought to Auckland for permanent repairs and to have a new propeller fitted.
