In an Anglo-American tennis practice match at Eastbourne, in Davis Cup conditions, F. J. Perry defeated B. Grant, 7—5, o—6, G—4, o—3. H. W. Austin, however, was defeated by J. D. Budge, o—2. o—6, 5 —7, 7—9. On July 25, 27 and 2S, Britain plays the winner of the Germany v. Australia inter-zone final.
