SYDNEY, this day.
A sub-committee of the New Soutli Wales Cabinet has prepared a report on the subject of closer settlement, in which is emphasised the urgency of subdivision of large properties. An appeal is made to owners in the national interest to pursue that course, failing which the Government is recommended to take piompt action to resume properties compulsorily so as to satisfy the legitimate pressing demand for cultivable land.
