IMPROVING THE DOMAIN.
It is to be hoped tliat any improvements in the Domain proposed hv the City Council that the removal of the tin fence which runs across it will be one of them. Anyone appreciating the beauty of the imposing entrance gates receives a rucle shock to be greeted on the other side by a rusty dilapidated iron fence which gets more unkempt as it continues down the hill and across the grass. The Domain has outlived its usefulness as a paying proposition, for 110 more large sports matches will be played there, and even band contests are held elsewhere. Only the Amateur Athletic. Association, I believe, holds occasional meetings there, but I do not think that this is sufficient excuse for'perpetuating this corrugated monstrosity. CIVIC.
